Modified air box.
1st by removing the internal restrictor funnel 2nd by adding two more air intake holes in the back cover 3rd by adding the k n replacement air filter.
I got a great price on the k n 29 95 with free.
Which i can only assume are there to reduce intake noise.
This is the best way to go for the money spent.
I modified another air filter box a while ago that was a little different too.

Has anyone cut out the baffle plate inside the upper air box that has the 2 venturies in it.
The air box its self doesn t look too restricting other then the 2 ventures.

It retains the modified air box while still making huge power gains.

Modified upper air box 09 xp.
We cut out the indented areas of the shield so you could see through it to the filter but the shield was still there.
A4 5 3 0tdi box and snorkel.
I ll drive it a bit and decide if the new filter is staying or back to the factory paper filter.

Perhaps a bit much hole when compared to s7 above.
Removed bottom half of airbox and replaced with a custom piece made to support the filter into the top half exposing the full filter.
I dropped in a k n filter and all of a sudden i have just a touch of turbo lag that i haven t had since changing to shell 93 octane.
